I seriously cant understand how someone six years younger than I thinks they know it all if you actually read my posts you'll understand, I'm trying to explain drifting is no lesser a sport then racing I have listed the definitions of “race” earlier in this thread in a hope to show what your referring to racing would be classed as a type of Motorsports i.e.. Sprint, Grip. Etc...
IM NOT SAYING
Drifting is a race to the finish line
stating its a compitition will open so many more stupid reasons in how a race is a compitition what are you defining as a race ?
Grip
Sprint
Speed
Drag
thease all have handycaps + -points for contact etc same as any drift "race/compitition/motorsport". so why are you saying drifting is lesser a sport than what you call racing, last time a checked prizes and trophys were given out in all of them. so realy there all motorsports in diffrent classes/catogries, with 1 goal TO WIN.
tht would mean getting a whole new build everything would have to change
id get
AM2 AMD 5200+ x2 (mabe a phenom but would change for intel quad)
crossfire mobo / AMD 790FX Chipset
ATI Radeon™ HD 3800 Series x2
Ballistix™ High-Performance Memory (poss DDR3)
and WD raptors (obviously)
but the idea is to keep cost to under £100 and get a good pc out
getting 939 would allow me NF3 chipset (i know NF7 is commin out )
untill i deem Vista as ready im not gonna spend out for X10
ty m8
only reply ive had all day
AM3 is out soon might look into tht

Reason : oh yer
were not saying drifting is better then racing were just saying just cuz you dont like to drift dosnt undermine it more than racing
there diffrent classes
saying that drifting isnt racing is wrong becuse the goal is to win by traviling this would meen it is a race it may not be a race to see who gets to the line quickest its race to get the most points while finishing the cource within a set time
the only time you cannot call it racing is if you were doing it on your own or practicing
motorsport racing sims drift drag i dono whts wht anymore i need a bim lol

A race may be run continuously from start to finish or may be made of several segments called heats or stages (stages are also known as legs). A heat is usually run over the same course at different times. A stage is a shorter section of a much longer course or a time trial.
(a race is 2 or more people competing for the same result 1st place)
Just to add a bit of contradiction we cant even call it a motorsport
Drifting has evolved into a competitive sport where drivers compete in rear-wheel drive cars to keep their cars sideways as long as possible. At the top levels of competition, especially the D1 Grand Prix from Japan and others in Malaysia, Australia, Canada, the Republic of Ireland, the United Kingdom, Formula-D in the United States, and New Zealand, these drivers are able to keep their cars sliding for extended periods of time, often through several turns.
Drifting is not recognized by the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) motorsport's governing body, as a professional form of motorsport.[2]
is racing in its own legue then its not a motorsport is it mabe im confused cuz i was under the impression ppl are calling drifting a Motorspot but racing is racing its not a sport lol
hia dude i think what your trying to say is your wanting to
Host a server off your own pc
if your not directly conected to your modem you will need to open your router page Ie7 192.168.1.1 and go to your nat setting and enter the LFS port numbers
I want to run a host from behind a firewall, router or connection sharing - which port needs to be open?:Live for Speed S2 hosts use TCP and UDP port 63392 by default, but when starting a host, you can enter any port (but be advised that some people only have the default ports open with their outbound blocking firewall). Some people have problems with high port numbers. They should try lower numbers, as some ISP's are blocking high ranges.
If your firewall or router also blocks outgoing packets, you should open port 29339 as well, which is used for host<->master communication.
Motorsports are irellivant anything with a motor and partakes in a sport would be a motor sport
Time trials are indeed clased a races diffrent to Grip or Sprint races were all Racers set off at the same time, racers have to go in intervals of 3 min gaps but are allowed to overtake wich would result in a lapping
What would you call Drag "Racing"
ps usin kodak z650 myself well tiz me misses cam lol
1) Live for speed is a racing Simulator
2) Drifting is racing
3) to Drive a car and win requires Skill
im realy fed up of ppl telling me drifting isnt racing it is go to japan go to well anywere any drift comp you will enter normaly refers to you as "racer" racer 102 and racer 203 to the line please is what youll here
to answer the question on AI Drifting is mabe in a few more years with the way AI is goin yes they might be able to drift its mainly the throttle control and the angle of the car up and down shifting that would have to go in unlike racing you cant take the same corner drifting as you could last time round drifting dosnt go on for 30 laps theres about 2 mabe even a sprint drift,
so to sum up
*drifting is racing
*AI drift aint gonna be about for a while yet (yes i know about Drift City, but i dont call tht drift)
*Anytype of racing requres diffrent skills
